Review: Children’s Pyjamas 7

Nothing beats a new set of pyjamas, as far as I’m concerned you just can’t have too many.

This is the time of year that I plan my Mass Pyjama Purchase- the new snuggly nightwear we need for winter, the adorable, pristine set for Small Stuff to wear on Christmas Eve and the haul we intend to gift to our tribe of nieces and nephews.  This year we’ll be shopping with

I’ve recently sung the praises of (see my review of their Minnie Mouse hat, scarf and gloves set here.)  They stock official character clothing for all the family and their range of nightwear is phenomenal! You can find everything from In The Night Garden PJs to Breaking Bad lounge pants. recently sent some pyjama sets for Small Stuff to try out and we absolutely loved them.

Furchester Hotel pyjamas

The designs we received were Dora and Friends and Furchester Hotel.  The style of each set is quite similar, long sleeved tops with a frill detail around the hem and full length bottoms with an elasticated ankle cuff.  If you find there’s a bit of growing room in the bottoms, the cuff will allow the extra material to sit ruched above the ankle rather than trailing on the floor, so no awkward turn ups or folding the waistband over.

Each set is 100% cotton which we all know is the comfiest thing to sleep in, I love how soft the material feels- no stiff transfers!

The designs are so vibrant, it’s easy to see why these PJs have become Small Stuff’s utter faves.

The Furchester set features a colourful picture of Funnella, Phoebe and Isabel on the top.  The purple bottoms have a repeat crest pattern (a possible nod to the hotel wallpaper) and pink cuffs to complement the top.

The Dora set has purple bottoms patterned with a “D” monogram and the pink top displays a pretty picture of “tween” Dora surrounded by flowers.  There are some lovely additional details on this set- an embroidered butterfly and lettering by the neckline and glittery accents on Dora’s clothing and some of the flowers.  Small Stuff loved this particular feature and kept contorting herself to make her “‘jamas twinkle.”

Dora and Friends pyjamas

Small Stuff has wanted to go to bed in nothing other than her new nightwear (she’s even pleaded to wear them in the day!). Therefore the sets have had several washes in the short time we’ve had them.  They haven’t shrunk or become misshapen, the fabric is still smooth and soft, the colours remain bright and they haven’t shed a speck of glitter.  All in all I am genuinely impressed with the fantastic quality of these garments.

At the time of writing you can grab the Furchester Set for £4.95 and the Dora set for £8.95.  Delivery is free with orders over £25.  If pyjamas are on your Christmas shopping list is well worth a visit.
